One of our chapter members clued me onto Facebook group "The Fight To Stop PKD".  If you are a Facebook member, you can access the group by clicking on the title of this post and ask to be a friend. From what I have seen, this is a very good site to interact with people that are concerned about PKD.

Entertainment For The Walkers

Hey Gang,

In planning for our September 24th walk, the planning committee would like to have some sort of entertainment for the walkers at the mid point for the 5K.   We will have a water station there and we thought it would be neat to have some sort of entertainment to encourage the walkers and just have a little fun activity for them.  We are good about ideas but need some help with execution.  Anyone out there that would like to volunteer as "entertainers" or know of someone that would like to volunteer their time for us that morning?  If so, please leave us a comment here and we will follow up.

Orderup Fund Drive

It is a “Fund Drive for PKD”at all three Orderup locations! All you have to do is write PKD Foundation on the back of your dine-in receipt. Place the dine- in receipt in the Speak Up box (by the Listenup sign or ask a friendly cashier!) It is valid at all 3 Orderup locations. Our fund drive will be from May 15-Aug. 15, 15% of the total bill goes to PKD!

Welcome to the San Antonio PKD Kidney Konnection blog.  The primary purpose of this blog is to provide a communication tool for those that are interested in the activities of the San Antonio PKD Chapter.  It is our intent to update the activities of the San Antonio Chapter including our annual walk -- the next walk is scheduled for September 24, 2011 at Brackenridge Park -- Joske Pavilion.   We will post team information that will include the incentives planned to form, build and grow our teams for the walk.  Also, if you have any questions, this format will allow us to get answers to you on anything regarding PKD and the activities of the San Antonio Chapter.
